Overview

The ERP Functional Lead (Lead) will be responsible for transforming and standardizing business processes of production planning (PP) and manufacuring (MFG) to the new SAP implementation scope. This role will be part of a team that is responsible for providing subject matter expertise , strong analytics, and process development to optimize and deploy a common ERP strategy.

As part of a Global cross-functional core team, this position will work with all divisional locations to design and implement standardized, best practice business solutions that leverage common processes, systems and data. The Lead has to be a good communicator.

They will be in constant communication with the ERP core team (other Functional Leads), implementing team, Technical consultant and their project leader. Written communication skill is required for the purpose of e-mail to different groups, documentation related to Project, and reports generation. 

Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge of the development of a master schedule for the production of finished goods 
  • Strong understanding of shop orders process for efficient routing of all manufacturing operations within the production process.
  • Experience in collecting data and compile reports on scheduled compliance, routing, capacity constraints and production problems
  • Experience in implementing process improvement initiatives to reduce WIP, inventory, and increase efficiency of all work centers within the manufacturing process 
  • Experience in monitoring delivery dates of raw materials, and other components to ensure receipt of all materials needed to complete shop orders
  • Strong Knowledge of Promise to delivery and. Supply Chain
  • Experience in Interfacing with customer service and sales team to ensure the master schedule meets promised delivery dates to the customers
  • Communication: Ability to present information to individuals or groups; ability to deliver presentations suited to the characteristics and needs of the audience. Ability to convey information clearly and concisely to groups or individuals either verbally or in writing to ensure that they understand the information and the message. Ability to listens and respond appropriately to others.
  • Technical Support: Ability to understand internal/external customer technologies and problem resolution techniques. Ability to communicate effectively with customers. Ability to listen to symptom descriptions; to analyze problems; to respond effectively and to provide constructive feedback to the client on resolution.
  • Accountability: Ability to be relied upon to ensure that projects within areas of responsibility are completed in a timely manner. Ability to monitor programs and/or activities and take corrective action when necessary. Ability to exercise independent judgment and work under minimal supervision.
  • Adaptability: Ability to maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment. Ability to adjust effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures

Responsibilities

In this role, the individual will be responsible for establishing or extending relationships with the extended business teams to transform process design into SAP configurations. Key Requirements include:

  • Analyze: Understand and document the current processes
  • Standardize and Design: Leverage Consulting group's experience with lean practices to develop best-in-class processes, establish standards, and integrate with systems design. 
  • Build: Integrate with the other ERP teams to ensure alignment between processes, systems and data.
  • Deploy: Lead process deployment efforts to ensure buy-in from local implementation. 

The ERP Functional Lead will be expected to accomplish these results by:

  • Engaging with the divisional cross-functional process teams
  • Participating in current state (as-is) process mapping
  • Participating in future state (to-be) common process development 
  • Identifying data requirements and gaps
  • Understanding current metrics and defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Coordinating quality assurance reviews
  • Testing and deploying new processes
  • Contributing to the development of a global enterprise process architecture
  • Adhering to project timelines and budgets
  • Working daily with internal IT and Consultants to provide direction on work to be done, consult on the best solution and be a liaison between IT and end-users.
