Job Title: Infrastructure Delivery Engineer/Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Location: Indianapolis, IN or Des Moines, IA (They really need to be in or very close to either Des Moines, IA or Indianapolis, IN.)

6 months contract

Responsibilities:

- Architect, build, and maintain scalable and highly available infrastructure environments on Azure, VMware, and Nutanix.
- Automate and streamline operations and processes for Windows and Linux systems using Terraform, Bicep/Arm, Ansible, and Python.
- Develop robust CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins and GitLab to automate testing and deployment across multiple environments.
- Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address reliability risks.
- Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes with a focus on automation, security, and scalability.
- Work closely with development, architecture, and security teams to ensure architectural and operational requirements are integrated into the system design and implementation.
- Provide support to troubleshoot deep technical issues and contribute to root cause analysis.
- Ensure security best practices are integrated into the infrastructure from the ground up.
- Document all procedures and ensure that all systems and processes are compliant with industry standards.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or system administration role, managing both public and private cloud environments.
- Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with proven ability to use tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Bicep.
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Python.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
- Proficient in managing both Windows and Linux operating environments.
- Previous experience with VMware and Nutanix platforms is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications in Azure, VMware, Nutanix, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Experience with network security practices, protocols, and principles.

Key things for these positions are - automation skills, scripting skills in python / PowerShell etc. Knowledge on infrastructure best practice and reducing issues in a large environment.
Deliverables:
*Reduce 2012 footprint at Corteva by allocating new compute in a standardized method and migrate the respective application stacks.
* Ensure that the pattern for migration includes all current agents required for managing and monitoring the Corteva environment. (e.g. SolarWinds, Tanium, ARC)
There isn't a "hard number" for reduction, just demonstrably less 2012 servers by late 2024. Currently there are approximately 1200.
* Document the details of the application owners and function as discovery allows.
* Work with PM to prioritize meaningful actions (e.g. addressing a site at a time, aligning to some kind of order, working with the business)
* Augment the IOCS staff to enhance the automation of and efficiencies to the compute space at Corteva. (On premise, cloud)
* Identify and report on areas of opportunity to improve the environment, based on best practices/experience.
* Help develop automation to improve deployment consistency and reliability.
* Need a senior resource with the skills to design, innovate and build
The current pain points are:
* Low or non-supported operating systems at scale.
* Staff is saturated and requires additional skilled work force augmentation.

* Goals of larger staffing groups are not necessarily aligned with desired outcomes.
