We are seeking a highly motivated Armed Security Officer to fill a part time, position in Austin, TX. Guard position is at a chain multi-unit company.

Duties and job functions may include lobby desk, foot patrol, r, access control, emergency response, and risk management. The ideal candidates’ traits: exceptional people skills, professional image, attention to detail, takes ownership, commitment to team success, outgoing, and driven.

Responsibilities:

• Establish a position primarily at the front lobby security desk unless otherwise directed by site management.

• Perform duties in an awake, alert & ready mode (i.e. No sitting, sleeping, etc.).

• Seek site management permission prior to leaving post (aside from on-site breaks).

o If taking a break, communicate with site management prior.

• Refrain from handling any client property.

• Observe & report any suspicious behavior to site mgmt. & protos security, immediately.

• Night shift – Escort employees to the parking lot at end of shift.

• Assist site management with a “support presence” when site management is working to remove any unwanted individual (s) from the premises.

• Refrain from utilizing cell phone or other technology.

• Maintain a pleasant, customer-friendly, professional demeanor and posture.

• Practice courtesy, diplomacy, and respect to all.

• Greet visitors & customers appropriately following management scripts and directives.

• Direct visitor assistance requests to site mgmt.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Proven experience as security officer or guard

Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety

Familiarity with report writing

Excellent surveillance and observation skills

Have a current Texas DPS security guard level 3 license

Must have a valid driver's license

Schedule: Night & Weekend

9:pm - 4:am (Fridays and Saturdays Only) Total 14hrs/Week

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.75 - $20.15 per hour

Expected hours: 14 per week
