The Vice President of the Value Delivery Office will help to lead Delta Community’s business and technology teams in a transition to and continuous practice of Agile ways of working. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, they will be accountable for ensuring that Delta Community’s initial five cross-functional value stream teams deliver valuable work product (typically, software development) to their stakeholders, while also meeting the enterprise strategic priorities directed by executive management. 
As the division head of the Value Stream Office and member of Delta Community’s Leadership Team, they will be accountable for the value stream teams’ collective impact on the organization. They will ensure that all teams and team members have the guidance, support, resources and governance needed to adopt as well as maintain an Agile mindset in an adapted Scrum framework. 
They will directly supervise, coach and support the Scrum Masters who support the Value Stream teams. They will also develop strong relationships with each team’s Value Stream Owner (or Product Owner in common industry nomenclature), guiding them as they work with their executive sponsors to prioritize backlogs, communicate progress and ensure business readiness for changes introduced by their releases.
Foster and support a safety-conscious and hostile-free work environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.
Essential Functions:
•Provide leadership and direction for the organization’s agile transformation, driving the adoption of agile principles and Delta Community’s enterprise value delivery framework across all value stream teams
•Establish value stream governance where needed (e.g., team ceremonies, metrics reporting, backlog prioritization, release planning) while also fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation within the teams
•Ensure that Value Stream teams are communicating and collaborating effectively in a matrixed environment, where team members are accountable to both their direct Functional leader/supervisor and the Value Stream Owner
•Provide members of the value stream teams with the resources, feedback, training, or coaching needed to succeed in an Agile environment, which may include the periodic planning, budgeting and coordination of third-party support services 
•Coach Scrum Masters and Value Stream Owners on effective agile practices, removing impediments and empowering team decision-making 
•Institute measures for value stream team performance, transparency, quality and flow to track progress against both functional and enterprise strategic priorities
•Communicate enterprise-level risks, issues, dependencies and roadmaps related to value streams to the Executive team (together with the Value Steam Owners)
•Foster collaboration among five Value Stream Owners to identify and manage work on project dependencies that overlap value streams to minimize the potential for employee friction and business disruption
