Sandblaster/ Painter Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Sandblaster/ Painter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and applying paint coatings to various surfaces, as well as performing sandblasting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be knowledgeable in surface preparation techniques, and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities

· Operate sandblasting equipment to remove dirt, rust, and old paint from surfaces.

· Follow safety procedures and guidelines while performing sandblasting and painting tasks.

· Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers.

· Mix and apply paint, varnish, or other finish coatings to achieve desired results.

· Repair, touch-up, and repaint surfaces as needed.

· Maintain and clean sandblasting equipment and painting tools.

· Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure timely completion of projects.

Requirements

· Minimum of 2 years of experience as a sandblaster/ painter

· Proficient in operating sandblasting equipment and understanding its maintenance requirements.

· Strong knowledge of surface preparation methods, including cleaning and sanding techniques

· Ability to mix and apply paint, varnish, or other finish coatings accurately.

· Solid understanding of safety precautions and procedures related to sandblasting and painting.

· Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work.

· Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and lift heavy equipment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
