SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
Facility based, the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist is in constant face-to-face contact with persons served primarily in a day program settings.
The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist specializes in psychiatric rehabilitation and serves as the primary contact for all persons' vocational and rehabilitation assessments and plans.
The primary duties of the Psychiatric Rehabilitation professional are to provide:
"mental health, substance abuse,vocational,rehabilitative, case coordination, family counseling,and follow-along services to adult persistent and severely mentally ill persons who are currently referred to the program by the Core Service Agency.
"The goals of the program are to assist the persons served to improve their emotional, mental and functional status; to reduce the necessity for hospitalization and incarceration; to assist the persons served improve their ability to live safely, follow treatment protocols, and be a productive member of a community environment; to facilitate rehabilitation from severe psychiatric or addictive conditions as much as possible; and to assist with increasing their capacity for independent living.
* Performs other duties as assigned
CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
* Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, psychiatric nursing or other related field is required
*Current State license is required LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist .
