Responsibilities:| 1. Provides leadership to marketing, communications, and media relations team. Serves as member of Athletic Department administration.
| 2. Coordinate and execute marketing initiatives for the department and its sports programs. Develop plans and solicit clients. Includes print, radio, video, and static signage.
| 3. Plan, execute, and manage home athletic events including hosting postseason events in coordination with the NSISC, GSC, and NCAA.
| 4. Create and execute marketing plans related to promotion of events and activities of the Athletic Department and its 14 sports programs.
| 5. Oversee ticket operations by creating event, venues and ticket packages; manage ticket system for online payments, print-at-home tickets, e-tickets, mobile ticketing, etc. Set-up renewals, seat allocations/upgrades, single-game vs season passes. Procure and assign credentials and parking plans.
| 6. Oversee internal controls and procedures for ad sales, ticket operations and inventory. Implement auditing procedures, allocate and distribute resources, ensure segregation of duties, safeguard funds. Monitor software systems access, voiding tickets, transfers, etc.
| 7. Supervise full-time staff as well as hourly event staff. Provide direction and organization and assign tasks. Serve as event contact for other university offices including President, Police Department, Concessions, Janitorial, etc.
| 8. Coordinate facility maintenance; track work order requests and timely completion. Assist with project management. Serve as Building Manager for various athletic facilities and monitor reservations and usage.
| 9. Compile and submit applications for GSC and NCAA postseason hosting opportunities and serve contact to coordinate all associated activity.
Qualifications:Bachelors or Masters degree in related field or equivalent relevant experience, on-the-job training, knowledge of and experience with applicable programs and systems.
Experience with marketing platforms and plans; experience with ticketing software, understanding of pertinent aspects of collegiate sports.
Strong working knowledge of related NCAA rules and regulations, analytical skills, self-motivation and initiative, ability to independently take concept from inception to implementation, outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills, ability or organize and prioritize
Salary:12 monthCommensurate with experience, qualifications, and universitys resources.
