As the 2024 Summer Marketing Intern, you will be pivotal in conceptualizing and organizing our most impactful employee events of the year. The internship is your hands-on opportunity to learn from and work with our talented team of engaged professionals who will share their extensive knowledge. This internship is an excellent opportunity to apply your classroom learning to real-world experiences. 

Our summer intern program begins on Monday, June 3rd, and ends on Friday, August 2nd. Our paid program is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We offer a hybrid working model of two in-office work days (Wednesday plus one) and three remote work days. 

Our ideal candidate has excellent organizational and project management skills. They are creative thinkers and problem-solvers with a discerning eye for creating flawless events.

What You’ll Be Doing.

Event Planning: 

• Annual All Associate Volunteer Day – our company volunteers in our local community for a day. 
• Day of Learning – a fun, interactive, and educational day for our Associates.
• Panel Discussion – opportunities for Associates to share best practices
  1. You will help research, plan, schedule, and promote these events.
     • Coordinate logistics
     • Manage budgets
     • Organize resources 

Event Promotion:

Other Marketing Initiatives:

• Assist with the migration of our survey platform.
• Help with our email communication project.
• Conduct market research and analysis on emerging industries. Prepare and present your findings to Marketing Leadership.

The Skills and Experience You’ll Need to Have.

• A self-starter who is comfortable working with minimal supervision. 
• Excellent reading, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office. 
• Graphic design background is a plus. Experience with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator is preferred. Experience with Canva could be a substitute for Adobe applications. Experience with video creation is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and meet required deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Team Player: ability to see the organization's big picture goals and contribute to day-to-day tasks.
• Experience in conducting research via the Internet.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience or university coursework in the area of internship, including communications, event planning, and/or project management.
