Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensures that employees’ work activities are carried in accordance with the applicable codes, standards and specifications and company's methodologies and procedures
  • Provides technical advice, guidance and recommendations to employees
  • Oversees erection and installation of electrical work activities
  • Assigns daily work activities to electrical crew
  • Conducts routine surveillance of all electrical activities
  • Is proactive in projecting any adverse impact on the scheduling and delay of productivity
  • Monitors and reports all electrical progress and acquires necessary documents and approvals to ensure continued workflow

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years’ Electrical Supervisory experience in Oil and Gas Industry
  • Personnel Management experience
  • Valid Driver License and clean driving record

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical Fabrication processes, procedures, standards and specifications
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, operational and mechanical systems including; installation, test, maintenance and repair
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of power tools, testing equipment, test lamps, measuring devices, power construction equipment
  • Knowledge of proper electrical equipment use conducive to conditions and assignments including adherence to Hazardous Materials and Safety Regulations
  • Skilled in repairing/fixing electrical equipment, wiring, hand or power tools and other fixtures
  • Ability to recognize and respond to dangerous situations or emergencies such as high voltage systems, electrical fires, loose hot wires, broken power lines and etc.
  • Ability to diagnose system malfunctions, locate cause of breakdown and correct the problem or recommend solution
  • Ability to set and balance priorities in order to complete projects on time
  • Ability to make decisions and recommend appropriate course of action in difficult situations
  • Ability to communicate effectively as a supervisor both verbal and written
  • Ability to handle stress and possess positive trait even in difficult or challenging situations
  • Ability to attend training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes required by department

Education:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred)

(Related field experience may qualify to substitute formal degree requirement)
Required Training & Certificates:

  • Valid Masters or Journeyman License-or reciprocal state if an Engineering Degree has not been obtained
  • OSHA 10 certification, or ability to obtain upon hire
  • H2S certification, or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Attends training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes required by department
  • Computer skills commensurate with program and job applications

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and may require use of ear plugs on occasion. Work condition is outside environment (job site/field site) that may have inclement weather conditions. The incumbent is exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicles and equipment.
