Robert Half has partnered with a local CPA firm seeking a Sr. Tax Accountant to join the team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This position centers around the accurate and timely preparation of various accounting data, focusing on areas such as bookkeeping, financial reports, and tax services. Responsibilities:

• Inform clients on the tax preparation process and collect relevant financial records

• Monitor, review and verify accounting records and transactions

• Review and analyze reports for accuracy in the preparation of financial statements

• Ensure compliance with internal policies, agency rules and regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles

• Examine accounts, records and compute taxes owed according to current laws and regulations

• Keep abreast of current IRS and state and local tax rules and regulations and ensure full compliance

• Preparation of federal and state tax forms and returns

• Assist in the development of financial projections and forecasts

• Provide QuickBooks support to clients

• Post necessary year-end adjusting journal entries

• Understand and prepare bank reconciliations and prepare documentation for external auditors

• Advise clients about tax liabilities and other tax-related matters

• Build customer relationships to promote and expand the business.

Requirements:

-4 year Accounting Degree

-EA or CPA strongly preferred

-Prior Tax/CPA firm Experience

-Accounting Software experience (Thomson Reuters, QuickBooks, etc)
