Deloitte is looking for an experienced technical resource with hands-on development and troubleshooting experience and the ability to lead technical implementation efforts for digital product implementations.

Work You’ll Do:

The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Technical Bachelor’s Degree required
• Active Top-Secret (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required
• In-depth technical Subject Matter Expertise and skills in AWS Cloud Infrastructure and AWS Java
• Experience using Python with Apache Spark with Scala and Apache Anaconda
• Experience with container platforms such as Docker, OpenShift, and Kubernetes
• Experience with Continuous Integration and DevOps
• Experience architecting and developing efficient solutions to address complex business problems
• Proven ability to lead client discussions and drive client demos
• Experience engaging with, coordinating with, and presenting key solution components to other key implementation stakeholders
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Must be willing to be onsite regularly in the DC area for this role.
• Ability to travel 20 - 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve (travel not expected for this particular project)

Preferred:

• Utilize best practices for platform configuration management, migration, and data security aspects of a web application
• Articulate a clear vision to the team and set expectations to enable the team to work collaboratively and deliver successful outcomes
• Experience recruiting, mentoring, and coaching team members
• Ability to multi-task across multiple projects while delivering high quality products under highly aggressive timelines
• Experience in entire SDLC process across multiple engagements
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as GCP and Azure
