Work you’ll do:

Work with clients to understand and solve their most pressing business and technical challenges while leading a diverse talent group in support of Federal and State Government agencies. Develop trusted advisor relationships with clients’ technology leaders and help guide clients’ Cloud vision. Create new opportunities to showcase Cloud technologies and capabilities for our clients. Help lead our Cloud practice, develop our future Cloud leaders, and expand the Deloitte Cloud brand throughout the public sector marketplace.

The team:

Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our clients’ end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.

Cloud Engineering supports our clients by improving agility and resilience, while identifying opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation. We advance our clients toward a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators, to achieve their vision.

Responsibilities include:

  • Consulting with client stakeholders on strategies for deployment of new cloud technology implementations, monitoring and optimization of existing equipment.
  • Responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud resources in numerous environments (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Contribute to architecting enterprise data services (data pipeline processing, curation, ETL processes, etc.)
  • Delivering end-to-end infrastructure management solutions in a Cloud environment.
  • Improving infrastructure operations through better use of monitoring, cloud coding and scripting best practices.
  • Automating infrastructure migration to cloud environments,
  • Implementing cloud governance, build, deployment and monitoring standards for clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of networking, security groups, and policy management in relation to Cloud resources.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate with third-party service providers to integrate technical capability and authoritative source data into the environment.
  • 3 years of experience with Infrastructure-Based Processes: Monitoring, Capacity Planning, Facilities Management, Performance Tuning, Asset Management, Disaster Recovery, Data Center support
  • 2 years of experience with Servers, Infrastructure, Platform Sizing, Infrastructure Cost Reduction 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited United States college or university (Computer Science or Computer Information Systems related field)
  • 2 years of experience with any of the following technologies: AWS, VMWare, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform
  • Possess and maintain the required US Security Clearance (Secret clearance or above)
  • Ability to work onsite in the Washington DC or Dayton, OH area.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
