Work you’ll do/Responsibilities  

  • Currently, working with our project team and our technology client being to conduct business-specific projects by applying deep expertise in subject area; promoting adherence to all procedures and policies; developing work plans to meet business priorities and deadlines; determining and carrying out processes and methodologies; coordinating and delegating resources to accomplish organizational goals; partnering internally and externally to make effective business decisions; solving complex problems; escalating issues or risks, as appropriate; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; evaluating recommendations made; and influencing the completion of project tasks by others.

  • As part of the IT Engineering job family, this position is responsible for leveraging DEVOPS, and both Waterfall and Agile practices, to design, develop, and deliver resilient, secure, multi-channel, high-volume, high-transaction, on/off-premises, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Translates business requirements and functional specifications into physical program designs, code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions by partnering with Business Analysts and other team members to understand business needs and functional specifications.

  • Builds and maintains trusting relationships with internal customers, third party vendors, and senior management to ensure the alignment, buy-in, and support of diverse project stakeholders.
  • Provides implementation and post-implementation triage and support of business software solutions by programming and/or configuring enhancements to new or packaged-based systems and applications.
  • Identifies specific interfaces, methods, parameters, procedures, and functions to support technical solutions while incorporating architectural designs.
  • Supports component integration testing (CIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) for application initiatives by providing triage, attending test team meetings, keeping the QC up-to-date, performing fixes and unit testing, providing insight to testing teams in order to ensure the appropriate depth of test coverage, and supporting the development of proper documentation.
  • Develops, configures, or modifies basic to moderately complex integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions within various computing environments by designing and coding component-based applications using programming languages.
  • Leads the development, validation, and execution of testing scenarios to identify application errors and ensure software solutions meet functional specifications.
  • Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management.
  • Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes.

The Team 

Our Digital Foundry & Operations works with the Customer & Marketing group to bring a flexible capability and fluid capacity model to the delivery of small technology projects and enhancements.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
  • 5 years web service design, development, delivery and testing experience
    • 5 years experiences in designing, developing, integrating and deploying web services (with REST/SOAP/JSON/XML) using micro services architecture
    • 5 years experiences of Java development experience, including newer versions (JavaSE8 )
    • 8 years experiences of Spring frameworks, including Spring Boot
    • Experience with modern JS frameworks, including node.js
    • 8 years experiences with designing and documenting APIs with tools such as Swagger
    • Experience with Java and web services testing tools (Junit, SOAPUI, JMeter, etc.)
    • Strong experience with code review best practices
    • 3 years framework and reusable component development
    • 2 years Enterprise/Application architect experience
    • 5 years with agile software development methodologies, values and procedures
    • Strong experience with modern web application servers (Liberty, Tomcat, etc.)
    • Git, and other version control systems
    • Strong experience with version control systems, including Git
    • Understanding of Atlassian tools, including Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence
    • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment and DevOps tools and principles
    • Strong understanding of OO design patterns and UML modeling
    • Understanding of BDD and TDD styles
    • 2 years’ experience with VISIO, PowerPoint, Project
    • Should have good communication skills and zeal to work across offshore and onshore
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
