Delmar Nursing & Rehabilitation is Hiring a Director of Activities Near Delmar, DE
Eden Health Care is seeking an Activity Director for our Delmar, Delaware location! a small skilled nursing facility nestled within a quiet neighborhood. This position will require certification or 3 years as an Activity aide and or Director with facility assist in obtaining certification if all requirements are met.
Duties will include:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate activities for nursing home residents.
- Meet with Resident Council regularly to discuss progress, ideas, and organize events.
- Design programs to encourage socialization, provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment, and improve daily living skills.
- Manage Activities Assistant(s) in the day-to-day performance of their positions, in addition to managing schedule.
- Ensure that all projects are completed in a timely manner.
- Budget management of department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Three years of experience in Nursing Home Activities Department
- Three years of supervisory/management experience preferred
- Ability and passion for interacting with geriatric population.
