Job Description

Hadoop development and related [Horton] technology stack.

Experience with Hive, HBase, Pig, Spark, Sqoop, Oozie and MapReduce on Hortonworks* ELT/ETL development in Hadoop experience including working with custom code or ETL toolsets.* Experience in designing and troubleshooting HBase, Pig and Hive queries and performance* Experience designing HBase databases and tables.* Java development experience and software development experience.* Excellent aptitude in multi-threading and concurrency concepts.* Experience and knowledge of Linux* Hadoop configuration, understanding and troubleshooting preferred,* Experience with Cloud providers preferred* Demonstrated ability to design, test, and deploy Hadoop applications

Qualifications

* BS degree in Computer Science or a related field* 3 years of experience in Hadoop and related technology stack* Strong software development or scripting skills* Prior experience in Java/Java EE* Data Modeling, Data Governance, Metadata and Master Data Management experience* Demonstrable problem solving and debugging skills required* Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment* Strong communication skills
