DeLeers Construction is growing our team again! We are looking for an experienced Mason who is looking to work on unique and challenging residential and light commercial projects. You will never build the same building or fireplace feature twice! This role would report directly to our Masonry team leader who is also an experienced and skilled mason himself. Much of our work is in beautiful Door County!

What DeLeers Construction can offer you

The Experienced Mason position is an hourly (non-exempt) role. The starting rate is posted at $25.00 to $35.00 per hour depending on your experience level. In addition to the base hourly rate, you will be compensated for travel pay, daily per diem for overnight travel, and overnight accommodation when needed.

A day in the life of a Mason

The Mason position will be constructing various masonry structures, including buildings, walls, and chimneys. They mix mortar, operate an array of hand and power tools, and collaborate effectively with others to complete projects. With a keen eye for detail, Masons prioritize safety, quality, and problem-solving, contributing essential skills to the construction industry's landscape.

• Knowledge of the materials, methods, and tools involved with masonry, and the ability to work safely with all types of hand and power tools.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
• Knowledge of fireplace construction and materials used.
• Must be able to travel out-of-town for various job projects and stay overnight when required.
• Hold or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license prior to employment.
• Walk, prolonged standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
• Use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
