We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our clients team, you'll contribute to critical business initiatives while actively shaping the future of our operations. What We're Looking For:

• Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and VMware environments, including related hypervisors.
• Hands-on experience installing new and rebuilding existing virtual and physical host servers.
• Configuration of hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage.
• Deployment of upgrades, patches, and vulnerability remediation.
• Support and maintenance of server applications.
• Creation of automation playbooks and thorough documentation.
• Adherence to compliance standards and data integrity measures.
• Investigation, repair, and recovery from hardware or software failures.
• Evaluation, recommendation, installation, and repair of software platforms.
• Management of enterprise-level backup systems.
• Maintenance and enhancement of Microsoft 365 Azure, Email, and Security configurations and applications.
• Assistance in 2nd-3rd level support for our Help Desk as needed.
• Position located in Lincoln, NE; employee must reside within driving distance of our office.

What You'll Bring:

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3 years of server hardware experience with a strong understanding of IP networking and security principles.
• Solid experience with clustered Linux and/or Windows servers and relevant hypervisors.
• Progressive responsibility in network administration, TCP/IP, Windows Domain/Active Directory management, software distribution, patch management, database management, and Internet systems.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Successful completion of a criminal background investigation.
