Engineer, Application I – Controls and Automation

We are seeking a skilled Engineer, Application I – Controls and Automation to join our dynamic team. As an international manufacturer experiencing growth, we offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to our Engineering Controls and Automation department. Key Responsibilities:

• Generate detailed drawings and schematics utilizing SolidWorks, EPLAN, and AutoCAD/DraftSight.
• Collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to address customer requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Facilitate review meetings with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.
• Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for designated product lines.
• Initiate and analyze test requests, implementing appropriate actions based on results.
• Offer engineering support during manufacturing processes and commissioning activities.
• Maintain familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as UL, NEC, and NFPA.

Requirements:

• Associate degree (A.S.) in Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, or Engineering Technology, with three to five years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2018 or newer), SolidWorks, and EPLAN preferred.
• Familiarity with industrial networking, mobile electrification, and industrial control systems is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Proficient in Office365 applications; familiarity with SAP is a plus.
• Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
