We have a captivating opportunity for a skilled electrical engineer to contribute to medium-voltage infrastructure projects within our dynamic Irvine, CA offices. The ideal candidate will boast 5 to 10 years of expertise in:

• Designing medium voltage (2.4kV – 35kV) infrastructure for commercial and industrial facilities, suitable for public bid, encompassing specification of switchgear, transformers, and associated medium voltage equipment.
• Specifying and coordinating protective relaying and SCADA systems for medium voltage electrical systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Power and Energy Systems.
• Active PE License preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience.
• Proficiency in electrical infrastructure design projects with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit.
• Previous involvement in commercial/industrial infrastructure projects, including site visitation capabilities.

Duties

Pre-Design Engineering

• Conduct field surveys for electrical systems design, gather data, and compile site assessment reports.
• Prepare electrical schematic designs.

Project Management

• Manage multiple large-scale projects alongside senior engineers and subconsultants.
• Provide mentorship to design engineers.
• Independently draft proposals for clients.
• Actively foster business development with both new and existing clients.

Construction Administration

• Review and respond to RFI’s.
• Evaluate equipment submittals.
• Conduct punch walks and prepare punch list reports.
