We have a compelling opportunity available for an Electrical Engineer to contribute to our healthcare studio in our Long Beach office. This role is perfect for someone with 3-5 years of experience in designing Electrical systems for both new constructions and existing structures.

General Responsibilities

Pre-Design Engineering

• Assess existing as-built drawings and conduct thorough field investigations.
• Set up comprehensive drawings and models across various disciplines.
• Engage in close collaboration with team members to ensure seamless design coordination, adherence to schedules, and timely deliverables.
• Undertake feasibility studies and prepare innovative schematic designs.

Design Engineering

• Utilize tools like EnergyPro or IES VE for energy calculations.
• Develop detailed single-line diagrams and load schedules.
• Spearhead lighting selection and implement cutting-edge control systems.
• Design robust normal, emergency, and renewable power systems.
• Conduct essential Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies.
• Bonus: Experience with low voltage building systems such as Fire Alarm, Security, Voice/Data, and Nurse Call systems.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering Field.
• Preference for candidates with Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification and LEED Accreditation.

Working Knowledge

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Familiarity with California Building Code and National Electrical Code.
• Experience with OSHPD protocols is advantageous.
• Extra points for familiarity with Net Zero Energy/Carbon initiatives.
