High School Diploma or GED
Two years of applicable college or technical training preferred
Proficiency in both written and oral English and Spanish, preferred
Proficiency in proofreading English and Spanish preferred
Demonstrate good attendance record
Demonstrate effective computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Training/experience with the District’s student data system is preferred
Knowledge of basic mathematics, data analysis and general bookkeeping methods preferred
Demonstrate the ability to coordinate a heavy workload and to meet deadlines and schedules
Demonstrate excellent telephone and interpersonal skills/ability to resolve challenging issues
Demonstrate the ability to make decisions, multi-task, work under pressure, manage detailed tasks with a high degree of accuracy, exercise good judgment, discretion and confidentiality in performance of duties
Demonstrate a pleasant, cooperative, congenial attitude working with people
Minimal amount of weight lifting required
Must report to work on time every work day, except as afforded by existing law
Must perform all duties as assigned during scheduled work day

Typing 45 wpm Math 62% success rate Proofreading 60% success rate Excel: 60% success ratePERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: The person in this position is responsible to the designated administrator(s) and performs secretarial duties in any or all of the following areas:
Manage and monitor student registration and enrollment for the District’s MLL (Multilingual Learners) student population.
Serve as a liaison between MLL parents, the schools and the district; follow-up with their concerns and forward their issues to the appropriate department.
Coordinate entry testing with schools and participating students.
Manage data entry, tracking, and reporting tasks associated with MLL students and federal programs.
Maintain communication with parents, agencies and schools servicing the Federal Programs department.
Assist with annual ACCESS testing including: parent notifications, materials inventory, and student data entry.
Manage interpretation and translation services to schools, families and district office to support education access of MLL students and their families.
Generate contracts and requisitions for the State and Federal Title Programs.
Submit personal reimbursement forms, payment vouchers and invoices to be processed.
Assist in the preparation of reports required by Federal, State and local education agencies for the MLL office and Federal Programs office.
Perform other duties as assigned.
