SYSTEMS INTEGRATION ENGINEER II - Dayton

Job Description: Delaware Research Group is searching for a qualified candidate to join our team as an experienced Systems Integration Engineer. Qualified candidates will be cross functional and work to research and develop hardware and software systems. Perform as key contributors during every step of development. create groundbreaking aerospace and defense technologies focused on Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) manned and unmanned systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Research hardware and software systems.
  • Support contextual modeling, simulation, and test activities.
  • Perform system and component-level integration of new products.
  • Develop new integration processes throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support Integration, Verification, & Validation efforts for complex systems, sub-systems, and components
  • Interface with program leads, customer technical representatives, co-contractors, and sub- contractors in fast-paced, high-visibility, delivery environment
  • Support a geographically dispersed engineering team on large product integration and test efforts.

Qualifications


Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 3 or more years of relevant experience.
    • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Understanding of technical documentation, test plans & procedures, and test reports and ability to execute test procedures and document results.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Knowledge of systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
  • Knowledge of lab test equipment to include signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers.

Desired:

  • Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools, such as ENOVIA Requirements Management, Cameo, Dymola, and MATLAB.
  • Knowledge of environmental, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and electromagnetic interference (EMI) qualifications (DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461).
  • Practical knowledge of industry standard system engineering design principles, to include, but not limited to requirements management, traditional and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE).
  • Experience and certification in INCOSE standards (ASEP/CSEP).
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
  • Experience leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high impact trade studies and other measures.
  • Thorough understanding of establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM).
