Delaware Resource Group of Oklahoma is Hiring a Nondestructive Inspection Technician - Dayton, OH Near Dayton, OH

**These positions are contingent upon award of contract**


Job Description:
The Nondestructive Inspection Technician uses noninvasive techniques to inspect the insides of metal components on the aircraft. Responsible for identifying possible defects and taking appropriate corrective measures to keep equipment operating safely.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
  • Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
  • Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators.
  • Organize and report test results.
  • Perform specialized inspections.
  • Interface daily with the client about work priorities and progress of projects.
  • Work closely with team members to identify and remove obstacles.
  • Actively participate in safety initiatives, incident investigations, etc.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Five years’ experience in aerospace
  • Five years’ experience in an NDI role.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance with program access.


Preferred Qualifications:

NDT Level II Certification (Radiography)

UT, MT, PT Certification.

Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections.

Code shooting capabilities.

IRRSP or State Card.


Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Some college preferred.
  • U.S. Air Force or DoD NDI experience preferred.
  • Experience on wide body aircraft, including but not limited to, Boeing 767, 777, and 747.
  • Consistently meets all requirements for skill, product reliability and appearance.
  • Performs assigned duties with sustained accuracy, speed, and quality.
  • Capable of acquiring and applying technical information.
  • Works in cooperation with others to advance company goals.
  • Helps to promote a positive team attitude.
  • Has ability to follows verbal and written instructions with moderate supervision.

Must be able to work variable shifts as required.
