Job Details

Job Description: Delaware Resource Group is searching for qualified MQ-9 instructor Sensor Operators in support of Flight Operations. Ideal candidates will be able to provide instruction, in accordance with applicable instructions to meet proficiency and qualification standards on administered written examinations and flight evaluations for preparatory courses, initial qualification (basic, instrument, mission), transition (conversion, requalification), upgrade qualification (instructor, aircraft commander, special mission, evaluator, dual qualification of sensor operators), and key staff, continuation, refresher course, etc. training as required to meet the on-time graduation and annual requirements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs duties as Instructor Sensor Operator.
  • Performs mission planning, briefing, mission execution and debriefing.
  • Instructs UAV student sensor operators in all aspects of UAV ground and flight operations. This training includes academic (platform instruction), simulator, and in-flight instruction.
  • Complies with all governing regulations including service guidance, company procedures and Federal Aviation Administration Regulations.
  • Use air traffic control services and radio calls during instruction that are in accordance with the most current edition of the Federal Aviation Administration Order 7110.65, Air Traffic Control, or applicable International Civil Aviation Organization manuals and circulars for overseas continental United States (OCONUS) locations.
  • Support instruction of the Instrument Refresher Course (IRC) with qualified IRC instructors.
  • Support instruction of the Crew Resource Management Course (CRM) and CRM Facilitators Course with qualified CRM instructors.
  • Support instruction of the Night Vision Devices with qualified aircrew instructors.
  • Support instruction of aircraft radios, datalinks and other cryptographic radio devices as assigned, with qualified aircrew instructors in assigned training devices.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

  • Current MQ-9 qualification for MCE and LRE (Form 8). Recently expired Form 8 will be considered.
  • Must have LR instructor experience.
  • Weapon instructor experience is desired.
  • Formal Training Unit (FTU) experience is desired.
  • Ability to obtain an FAA Class II medical certificate.

Must have or be able to attain and maintain DoD security clearance.

  • Work in a regular office environment; Communicate via computer and telephone.
  • Will be working in areas with risk of electrical shock and from moving mechanical parts driven by hydraulics under high pressure.
  • Will at times be exposed to the following conditions: extreme heat, airborne particles, and loud noises.
