LEGAL INTERN

DRG has an opening for a Legal Intern supporting DRG’s contracts team.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with contracts team, operations team, and legal team to ensure administration of contracts and compliance with contract terms
• Learn to handle daily administration of contracts including, but not limited to, negotiation of agreements, contract set-up and close-out, contract modifications and maintenance of contract files (electronic and hard copy)
• Assist and support with any contract issues as necessary
• Input and maintain documents such as: contract amendments (i.e. MODS), track financial information, correspondence, reports, and CDRLs for multiple contracts
• Assist in preparing reports and other items that require executive level signature
• Complete projects in accordance with deadlines without constant supervision

Qualifications

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Willingness and ability to learn quickly
• Flexibility to meet the needs of DRG
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication and analytical skills
• Must possess ability to administer several projects independently and concurrently, with ongoing changes in priority
• Must possess ability to think independently and work effectively with minimal supervision
• Must possess strong P/C computer skills (MS Office)
• Must have the ability to work in a team environment
• Must be able to support legal, program management, and executive management

Preferred/Desirable Skills/Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field of study
• Juris Doctor, or working towards obtaining Juris Doctor
• 0-3 years experience in law/contracts-related position
• Experience with prime and subcontract efforts
• Understanding of the FAR, DFARS, and/or CFR (preferred)
