Delaware Nation Industries is Hiring a Space Planner Near Arlington, VA
Overview
Overseas Buildings Operations Bureau (OBO) of the US Department of State has an ongoing program to design, construct, lease, equip, maintain, repair, replace and enhance United States Government structures and facilities overseas. The Management Support Division of OBO is seeking a Space and Renovations Planner to manage the space, and renovations required for the domestic locations housing the OBO staff.
Responsibilities
- Analyze space requirements and renovation needs, for more than 1 ,000 staff persons, in multiple Washington Metro
- Develop space
- Develop AutoCAD architectural and engineering drawings used by GSA contractors, lessor, other Department entities, and
- Provides AutoCAD technical expertise and mentoring within the General Services
- Coordinate renovation related moves, relocation of employees, equipment, and furnishings within OBO and between OBO and other Department
- Initiate modular furnishing schemes, draft scaled furniture and equipment placement
- Develop overall designs, including detailed drawings, schedules, construction specifications, furnishings and equipment specifications, cost proposals, purchasing instructions and installation
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related
- Ability to develop architectural drawings and presentations with the most current versions of AutoCAD, graphic/illustration software, and MS
- Expertise in conducting field surveys & inspect installation
- Minimum of seven (7) years of related
