Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our New Castle County healthcare team. Both part-time and full-time employment options are available. As a Nurse Practitioner at Delaware Back Pain, you will play an integral role in providing patient-centered care for individuals with musculoskeletal pain and those recovering from closed-head injuries, including concussions. Working collaboratively with our board-certified Physical Medicine Specialists, Pain Medicine Specialists, Chiropractors, and ancillary staff, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide routine and follow-up healthcare services within the scope of Advance Practice Nurse laws in the State of Delaware.
  • Collaborate closely with our physician staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
  • Order and follow-up on diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and MRIs, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Develop and communicate treatment plans, including medication management and therapeutic interventions. (limited use of opioid analgesics)
  • Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
  • Participate in regular interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Delaware.
  • Experience in direct patient care preferred. Other experience and education may be considered.
  • Valid NPI number and Valid DEA number.
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care and excellent bedside manner.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in musculoskeletal care, pain management, and head injuries is a plus but not required.
