Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Event Coordinator to join our team. As an Assistant Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and executing various events, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for our clients and guests. This position also helps to manage the gift shop and reception area.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute events such as conferences, meetings, weddings, and social gatherings
- Negotiate contracts with our clients
- Develop and manage event spaces
- Coordinate logistics such as event set-up and preparation
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event objectives and preferences
- Provide exceptional guest services throughout the event, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
- Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all elements are in place and meeting client expectations
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination of event details
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement
Experience:
- Previous experience in event planning or coordination is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable contracts with clients
- Exceptional customer service skills to provide a positive experience for clients and guests
- Familiarity with event planning software or tools is a plus
- Experience in the catering or restaurant industry is beneficial
