Summary:
The main function of a hardware engineer is to validate, debug and root cause EMVCo L1 certification tests and related issues. A typical hardware engineer in this area is responsible to execute tests, chase and rectify test equipment issues and generate a solid test report.

Job Responsibilities:
Gather test requirements for hardware and software functions
Validate test setup using reference device and debug failures
Execute EMVCo L1 certification tests and maintain clear reports and give execution updates
Debug test failures on device under test, work with FW and HW team to root cause issue and clearly document corrective actions
Work with external partners and 3rd party labs to complete formal certification
Provide equipment training and support to RF, System and FW teams
Skills:
Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
Team player and detail oriented.
Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
Knowledge of EMVCo L1 certification requirements
Knowledge of EMVCo administrative processes
Understanding of Analogue and digital test cases
Familiarity with NFC / EMVCo test equipment
