Del Monte Fresh Produce NA is Hiring a Financial Reporting Manager Near Coral, FL

Purpose of Position:

This role reports to the Director, Financial Reporting and is responsible for assisting in the preparation of the annual Form 10-K and the quarterly Form 10-Q, including consolidated financial statements, footnote disclosures, and MD&A. The role is also responsible for conducting research on technical accounting issues, including the monitoring of developments in US GAAP and SEC regulations, assisting Investor Relations in crafting complete and accurate earnings releases and other public materials, coordinating with internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits, and providing assistance on ad hoc projects as required. This position will interact with personnel from various finance teams and other departments within the organization.

Accountabilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of external financial reports, including SEC Form 10-Q and 10-K reports, and prepare supporting schedules underlying the financial information included in the financial reports.
  • Assist in the review of investor communications, including quarterly earnings releases and investor presentations, to ensure amounts presented are properly supported.
  • Assist with detailed Xtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) tagging of financial statements and footnotes.
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly and quarterly statement of cash flows for both external and internal reporting purposes.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual employee benefit plan financial statements.
  • Assist in the annual goodwill/intangible asset impairment assessment and interim reviews for impairment indicators, including coordinating with valuation specialists and preparing relevant supporting schedules.
  • Assist with requests from independent auditors related to quarterly reviews and the annual audit.
  • Prepare financial statement analytics for internal control purposes and for review by external auditors.
  • Prepare calculations and other necessary schedules associated with areas such as derivatives and hedge accounting, share-based compensation and earnings per share.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to refine and streamline the financial reporting process.
  • Perform accounting research and draft technical memos on an as-needed basis.
  • Lead or participate in special projects as needed.

Minimum Skills Required:

  • BS degree in Accounting or related field required
  • CPA or other relevant professional certification is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including public accounting experience is required
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong work ethic, collaborative work style, motivated self-starter
  • Exceptionally organized and strong at execution, follow-up, and attention to detail
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
  • An individual with demonstrated accounting and analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Committed to producing quality work with a high degree of accuracy and can prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a team-player attitude.
