Position Description
Deflecto is looking for a 1st shift Flex Operator, regular hours are Monday through Friday 7am to 3pm. Candidate must valid driver's license and reliable transportation, also must be able to work overtime when required. This position reports directly to the shift supervisor and must work in coordination with co-workers to be effective. This position is primarily responsible for producing quality product.- Read and follow instructions for each job
- Complete paperwork correctly and return it to supervisor at the end of the shift.
- Maintain production rate on each product
- Troubleshooting production equipment
- Machine responsibilities include the following:
- Train new operators when assigned
- Aid in the production of quality products in an efficient and safe manner
- Maintain a neat and orderly workstation
- Follow safety protocol and wear required protective gear
- Must be able to maintain good attendance
- Lifting/moving up to 40 pounds consistently
- Standing, bending, stooping, reaching vertically as well as horizontally to reach parts
- Ability to perform repetitive task for extended periods
- Discuss machine status with incoming and outgoing shifts
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds to a height of 4 to 5 feet and hold away from body then place it on the floor.
- Direct activities of mixer/utility to ensure uninterrupted workflow
- Perform other job duties as assigned
- Experience operating and troubleshooting production equipment
- Experience with preventative maintenance
- Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude
- Must have good reading, writing, and math skills
