Provides a full range of psychological interventions to patients, including individual, couples/family, and group therapy. Interventions will address broad based mental health conditions, including depression, PTSD, anxiety, substance misuse, and adjustment to and coping with chronic disease. When appropriate uses newly proven or experimental techniques. Presents informed reports or educates multi-disciplinary teams on the use of newly proven or evidence-based intervention techniques.
Works as a key team member to promote, create, and maintain a psychotherapeutic atmosphere among the staff. Educates and trains staff around mental health issues and treatments, recovery-oriented care, boundaries, ethics, etc. Provides advice to other staff professionals to promote and preserve a recovery-oriented environment for individual patients.
Basic Requirement for Counseling Psychologist :Degree: Two full academic years of graduate study directly related to professional work in counseling psychology, or a master's degree directly related to counseling psychology.
Licensure: The Counseling Psychologist position requires applicants to possess a current, active, valid, unrestricted counseling/psychologist license from a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required. (Note: You must attach a copy of your license)
