Default Brand is Hiring a Fabricator - 1st Shift Near Rockmart, GA

General:

To provide rack repair, JIG fabrication and overall metal fabrication support for all of welding and assist in all new model and current model kaizen projects.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Repair damaged racks
  • Design and fabricate assembly jigs
  • Support engineering with new equipment setup and installation
  • Respond to line calls to assist with troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Guide work of others who perform essentially the same work by setting priorities and reviewing work
  • Follow all JSC rules and procedures
  • Follow all safety policies
  • Perform 5s activities
  • Perform cost reduction activities to reduce overall operating costs

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree (AS) from an accredited Technical School; or one to two years of related technical experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced experience in welding and fabrication
  • Intermediate understanding of machining
  • Basic understanding of jig and fixture design
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing maintenance
  • Mig welding license(s) preferred
