The firm employs approximately 100 employees globally and manages more than $7.0 billion in assets as of 12/31/23.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Investor Relations Director will support the head of the Product Specialist vertical within the Investor Relations group in the overall management of the Product Specialist team on all aspects of fundraising, investor relations, and overall marketing strategy, with key responsibilities including but not limited to: 
  • Work closely with the head of the Product Specialist team to prioritize internal workflows, identify areas for operational improvement and generate efficiencies within the Investor Relations group, and between internal resource groups
  • Become an expert on the firm and its history, investment strategy, products, structures and competitive landscape to oversee timely and accurate completion of investor inquires, requests and other follow-ups
  • Oversee the preparation of investor presentations, quarterly updates and other ad hoc deliverables
  • Review investor due diligence requests and RFPs
  • Nurture the education of the Product Specialist team through ongoing training and IR Classrooms focused on various topics
  • Lead a growing team, ensuring each member of the team is progressing in terms of their individual role and overall career at the firm
  • Strategize on continuous evolution of marketing materials globally, both proactively as the market evolves as well as reactively as investors needs change
  • Oversee and enhance Deerpath’s sustainability program, including managing the firm’s external sustainability consultant
  • Create and lead research and special projects or initiatives related to investor relations
  • Help lead public relations efforts and work closely with the firm’s external public relations firm
  • Coordinate with the firm’s internal compliance team to ensure adherence with marketing and other rules and regulations in multiple jurisdictions
  • Lead the planning, creation of agenda and materials and overall execution of AGM in both US and international regions
  • Lead ongoing research, negotiation, tracking and budgeting of conferences globally and proper coordinate alongside LP roadshows
  • Identify hiring needs for the Product Specialist team globally
Desired Skills & Experience 
  • Undergraduate degree with an excellent academic background
  • 15 years of financial services-related experience, minimum of 6 years of investor relations experience
  • Knowledge of alternative asset funds is required
  • Prior experience managing a team with the ability to prioritize and manage workflows within the group
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to build relationships and work with investors and professionals across functional lines within the organization
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage multiple, parallel responsibilities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to construct creative solutions
  • Strong attention to detail
