POSITION: Para-Professional Instructional Assistant- Special Education

SALARY RANGE: Salary range starts at $12.36 per hour depending on education and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

• Seeking a two year associates degree or the equivalent of two years of college desirable
• Having passed the Work-Keys assessment
• Experience working in school setting
• English/Spanish bilingual skills is a plus
• Ability to supervise students on the school grounds, in classrooms, in lunchrooms and hallways as assigned by the administration or designee
• Able, under the direction of licensed staff, to tutor students, reinforce learning and supervise students working independently and in groups
• Able to serve as a team player; perform clerical work, assist with communications between home and school and respond to minor emergencies and perform first aid and other health care as necessary
• Such alternatives to the above duties as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATION: Open until filled. 

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Assignment January of 2022 – May of 2022. (7 - 8 hours per day)-4 Days Per Week
• All agreements for employment of personnel shall be subject to approval of the BOE.
• Direct deposit of payroll is a condition of employment.
• No smoking is allowed in any Deer Trail 26J School District buildings/property
