Job Description

We are looking for an Engineer with a strong background in ultrasound to shape and lead the direction of our new ultrasound imaging platform. This is a crucial role in our product design and development process.

As the Image Reconstruction Engineer, your responsibilities are:

n
• Image reconstruction using traditional and novel beamforming techniques for single and multi-mode
n
• Developing tools for transmit and receive implementation across a variety of platforms
n
• Image analysis to quantify beamformer methods and implementation
n
• Reconstruct images with point and track methodologies
n

This position is suited for you if you are familiar with:

n
• Beamforming methodologies, aperture theory, and Fourier optics
n
• Implementation of image reconstruction data sets using python/matlab
n
• Collaboration with software engineering in an Agile environment
n
• Requirements generation and design output documentation for image reconstruction in software
n
• Verification of image quality using metric based quantification
n
• Contributing product development in a design control process environment
n
• Research and development in ultrasound signal, image, and sensor data processing for unique workflows
n
• Contributing and thriving in a highly collaborative and interactive development environment
n

Required Qualifications:

n
• S. in Electrical/Physics/Biomedical Engineering with 10 years industry experience in ultrasound, radar, or equivalent industry
n
• Expertise in ultrasound or radar physics, signal and image processing, algorithm development
n
• Excellent hands-on skills, able to setup and perform experiments in multi-disciplinary laboratory
n
• Demonstrated experience using MATLAB/Python for fast prototyping
n
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
n
• Able to adapt quickly to change and work in a rapidly evolving environment
n
• Willing to relocate to either the St. Louis, MO and Santa Clara, CA areas
n
• Willing to travel up to 10%
n

Preferred Qualifications:

n
• PhD in Electrical/Physics/Biomedical engineering with a dissertation topic related to ultrasound imaging or theory
n
• Ability to use embedded systems within experimental setups
n
• Direct experience in ultrasound image optimization and system development for general imaging applications (e.g. Abdominal, Small Parts, Musculoskeletal, Vascular, Pediatric, CEUS, and Color Doppler)
n
