YOUR IMPACT

As our DICOM Staff Software Engineer, your primary focus is on implementing DICOM and PACS functions and optimizing their integration across different systems and devices. This is a highly collaborative role where you work with talented software engineers, QA testers, and healthcare professionals to adequately define the technical specifications for DICOM-related features.

Following industry standards and best practices, you implement functions such as image processing, data storage, and communication protocols. Your troubleshooting skills are instrumental in testing integration, debugging issues, and ensuring compatibility with various systems. You also participate in design discussions and code reviews, maintaining detailed documentation and providing valuable insights throughout the software development process.

DICOM STAFF SOFTWARE ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a field like computer science or computer engineering
• 7 years of experience in commercial software development
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns
• Proficiency with C programming
• Solid understanding of DICOM standards (e.g., DICOM PS3.0) and experience working with DICOM-related tools and libraries (e.g., DCMTK, GDCM, Merge DICOM Toolkit)
• Experience with DICOM-based connectivity interface through the implementation of DICOM Store, Storage Commitment, Query/Retrieve, MWL, MPPS, print, and media services
• Experience with clinical systems such as PACS, electronic medical records (EMR), or patient management systems (PMs)
• Familiarity with common developer tool sets, including source control, continuous integration, and automated unit testing
• Passion for medical devices with excellent communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge of medical imaging and medical industry software development would be preferred. Experience with modern GUI frameworks (Qt, Flutter, etc.) would be a bonus!
