Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Pick, issue, and stage material for production operations;
Pick, issue, and ship material to outside service vendors;
Verify and document all material movements to ensure accurate recordkeeping/traceability;
Cut materials as needed using a saw;
Move, store and transfer material utilizing forklift;
Schedule courier services for inbound materials;
Monitor Sales Order due dates to ensure on-time delivery to customers;
Pick, pack, palletize, label and load customer shipments;
Perform general housekeeping of Shipping/Receiving areas;
Participate in labeling and transfer of inventory; counting and organizing inventory as needed;
Communicate with Purchasing, Production, Planning, and other personnel about material status in a timely manner;
Communicate with vendors or customers about material/shipment status as directed;
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education and Experience:

3 years' experience using equipment to move heavy materials such as overhead cranes, pallet jacks and forklift trucks;
3 years' experience in Inventory Control, Shipping, Receiving, or Material Handling Role;
Experience with ERP system; Global Shop Solutions experience a plus;
Familiarity with materials requiring traceability - lots, heats, serial numbers, etc.;
Experience working with 3rd Party Logistics companies (Importing and/or Exporting) preferred;
Certificate or Associates Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or another related field a plus.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Thorough understanding of Material Handling/Warehousing/Shipping functions in a manufacturing environment;
Knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel/Word/Outlook;
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others within multifunction teams;
Detail oriented and organized;
Able to meet assigned deadlines.

Physical Demands:

Must be capable of lifting and moving material weighing up to fifty (50) pounds;
Physical requirements are those typically found in an office and fabrication shop environment.
