Deeplocal is looking for a Production Intern with strong project management skills and experience in tangible project production to join the team for summer 2024.

Deeplocal pushes the boundaries of interactive experiences for some of the world’s top brands. The Production intern will play an integral role in helping to bring projects to life that live at the intersection of marketing, technology, tangible interaction, environmental space, and design. They will leverage project management skills, acute attention to detail, communication skills, and strong work ethic to deliver world class projects. 

While no two days look the same as a Production Intern, typical responsibilities include supporting the creative and production teams in the following areas:

• Support the creation and implementation of production workflow schedules.
• Research project hard costs and vendors to provide support to producers in creating project estimates for pitches.
• Locate local or global resources, place orders, and track shipping of materials in a timely manner.
• Coordinate onsite logistics and staff travel for project installations according to Deeplocal policies; create and modify travel itineraries as needed.
• Prepare global shipments, tracking the status of shipments and shipping materials in a manner that supports a timely and successful installation.
• Support onsite needs of the installation team, including site visits and surveys, installation, project documentation, and after care.

• Help with general support as needed for all Deeplocal projects and the office itself. This may include running errands by car, participating in testing, some manual labor, some administrative support, or travel to support live events or installation.

Because of these responsibilities, Production interns may be required to work outside of typical business hours, including some evenings and weekends. Some travel for project installations may be required.

Interns are compensated with competitive wages. For credit options are also available, if desired. All Production internships are based in our office in Pittsburgh, PA.

Desired Skills

We are looking for people with experience or interest in building skills in the following areas:

• Highly organized with exceptional communication skills and attention to detail. Must be comfortable making time sensitive requests to vendors by both email and phone.
• Embraces tight deadlines and keeps their composure in challenging situations or when priorities conflict.
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks while managing multiple priorities.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and thrives while working through challenging situations.
• Creative thinker & problem-solver who is excited to learn new skills.
• Excited by new challenges and never-been-done-before work.
• Experience supporting the development of productions, exhibits, or events is preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
