Title: Surveillance Agent

Reports to:Security Manager

Department: Security

Required Permits/Licensing/Registration: Marijuana Establishment Agent Card, Jurisdictional Work Cards as required, First Aid, CPR, AED Certification

FLSA Status:Non-Exempt

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Overview:

Provide support in the general operation of the company through the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of Company surveillance equipment, the utilization of Security equipment and software, reporting of suspicious behaviors or criminal activity, dispatch of radio calls to Company Security and/or local law enforcement, documentation of shift observations, and the provision of requested historical footage or still pictures.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain constant visual supervision of all live and recorded closed circuit security camera feeds on Deep Roots Harvest Property.
  • Demonstrate comprehension in the use of Company surveillance equipment including, without limitation; March Networks 9248 IP Recorder, March Networks Command Client, March Networks Closed Circuit Security Monitors (CCTV), PC workstations, DVR, printers, switches, Access Control Interface, Microsoft Office, and other computerized equipment or software.
  • Operate surveillance systems in accordance with the standards set forth by Company procedural guidelines.
  • Document and report directly to Security Manager any suspicious behavior, rare occurrences, or witnessed incidents observed on multiple-feed facility surveillance cameras
  • Dispatch radio calls to security staff and when applicable, local law enforcement in response to any observed issues regarding the safety and security of Deep Roots Harvest facilities, staff, and customers in real-time.
  • Fulfill requests for historical surveillance footage from upon approval from Security Management.
  • Report to Surveillance Management and IT all documented surveillance camera malfunctions or failures, as well as assist in the coordination of necessary repair efforts.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of tracking logs including, without limitation; Surveillance Office entry/exit, video archive library, malfunction/repair, and daily activity
  • Maintain all Surveillance Control Center equipment, including scheduled maintenance and any required 3rd-Party repair requests
  • Ensure that Surveillance Control Center maintains the required 30 Days of stored footage per the State of Nevada Cannabis Compliance Regulations (NCCR 6.085)
  • Provide Cannabis Compliance Board with video footage or still photos from surveillance equipment upon request
  • Maintain confidentiality of all privileged and sensitive information observed in the course of duty
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with Management and external contacts
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications:

  • Basic understanding of surveillance software and job specific information technology
  • Adherence to all industry standards set forth by Local, State, and Federal regulations
  • Capacity to work autonomously to achieve daily directives and department goals
  • Flexible work schedule required; to include covering a vacant shift and/or facility issues in emergency situations as needed.
  • Represent the company professionally when communicating or interacting with all local community, state, or federal officials.
  • Observe and maintain all safety procedures and protocols.

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be proficient in Windows based software and point of sale applications
  • Must have excellent communications skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret, understand, and comply with complex statutes, ordinances, regulations, standards, and laws
  • Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives, and standard operating procedures
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, governmental agencies, community members and the public
  • Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and electronic mail

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must pass all required background checks
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Previous Security Surveillance experience preferred
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including internal experience.

Working Conditions:

  • The working conditions of this position regularly require the employee to be exposed to outdoor elements and seasonal weather conditions.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, lifting, sitting, and repetitive motions.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 40 pounds (100 pounds with assistance)
  • Must be able to tolerate dusty, strong-smelling marijuana odors and exposure to the product.
