About the Role

We are seeking experienced Scientists to join our dynamic and well-funded research organization. As a Scientist at Deep Apple Therapeutics, you will play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing the production of challenging protein targets for structural studies and determine their structures using state of the art cryo-electron microscopy workflows. This position requires a strong background in biochemistry and structural biology, with a focus on G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), along with critical thinking and the ability to propose innovative approaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize production processes for challenging protein targets.
• Utilize state-of-the-art cryo-EM workflows for data collection, processing, and model building.
• Determine cryo-EM structures of novel protein targets.
• Collaborate closely with computational biology and in vivo biology teams to drive compound progression.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Ph.D. with 2 years of experience in biochemistry, biophysics, protein engineering, and/or structural biology, preferably experienced in GPCR or membrane protein biochemistry.
• Extensive experience with cryo-EM software for data processing, visualization, and modeling.
• Proficiency in designing constructs for protein expression and characterizing protein targets.
• Familiarity with cryo-EM data collection techniques for structure determination. Experience in crystallography is a plus.
• Attention to detail, scientific rigor, and clear communication skills.

Qualifications and Skills Desired:

• Background in structure-guided drug discovery.
