POSITION SUMMARY — Primary duty is to operate Class 1 machines Class 1 Machines include but are not limited to: Punch Press, Press Brake, Folding Machine, Turret Press, Saw Drill Box, Flat Bed Laser, Kuka Lasers, Tube Bender, Buffing Line, CNC Mill. WORK ENVIRONMENT — Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSFeed the necessary raw materials or parts to semi-automated machinesComplete daily machine check sheets and production recordingTend to the machine and product to ensure quality and proper operationEnsure quality parts are being produced by making frequent quality checks Sand and deburr partsMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S procedures, rules, and regulations Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to our customersSupport the environmental policy with proactive process implementation, improvement suggestions, reducing waste, and acting on environment performance results and findings SKILLS & ABILITIESAbility to read a tape measure, micrometer, protractor, and other inspection tools that may be requiredAbility to read and comprehend blueprintsMust be quality driven and have good housekeeping habitsWorking knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools needed Ability to follow the First Off Green Tag ProcedureAbility to work effectively in a team environment Effectively communicate POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Graduate, GED, or HSDE preferred Experience: Any manufacturing and/or machine experience preferred Computer Skills: Must demonstrate computer literacy
