Occupational Summary:

As a Dietary Aide, you will perform a variety of duties to ensure the proper distribution of prepared foods to patients, cafeteria guests, and catered events.

Reports To: Dietary Coordinator or Cook

Supervises: None

Qualifications:

• Demonstrates a strong work ethic and critical thinking skills.
• Excel in a fast-paced environment.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Six months experience in food service is preferred.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to talk and hear.
• Frequently required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• As a Dietary Aide, you will perform a variety of duties to ensure proper distribution of prepared foods to patients, cafeteria guests, and catered events.
• Accurately sets up and delivers patient trays and nourishments.
• Distribute correct portions of food and beverage items.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of specific therapeutic diets.
• Follows department standards and procedures.
• Utilizes and rotates food products, and appropriately stores leftovers, labels, and dates food items.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
