DeCoach Recovery Centre is Hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Days+ Nights Near Dayton, OH

Job Summary/Objective: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional to join our night shift team at our detox residential facility in Ohio as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). In this critical role, you will provide essential medical care and support to individuals undergoing detoxification during the night shift, with a focus on medication-assisted treatment (MAT), contributing to their safety and well-being throughout their recovery journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) as prescribed by medical providers during night shifts.
  • Monitor patients' withdrawal symptoms, vital signs, and overall health throughout the night.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans tailored to the night shift.
  • Conduct nursing assessments and provide updates during shift handovers.
  • Educate patients about detoxification, MAT, and available recovery resources.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and documentation during night shifts.
  • Implement infection control measures to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and adverse reactions during night hours.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and help manage their anxiety and discomfort during the night.
  • Collaborate closely with medical providers, therapists, and counselors to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications:

  • For Registered Nurse (RN): Current and valid RN license in the state of Ohio.
  • For Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Current and valid LPN license in the state of Ohio.
  • Strong knowledge of addiction medicine, withdrawal symptoms, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
  • Familiarity with detoxification protocols and patient monitoring during night shifts.
  • Compassion, sensitivity, and patience when working with individuals in early recovery.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in medical documentation and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in detoxification or addiction treatment settings during night shifts.
  • Certification in addiction nursing (CARN) or relevant specialty.
  • Familiarity with SAMHSA and CARF regulations and guidelines.

Reporting Structure: This position will report to the [Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse/Supervisor] for the night shift.

Location and Working Conditions: This position is on-site at our detox residential facility in Ohio. It specifically involves night shifts to ensure 24/7 patient care coverage.
