DecisionPoint | Cortek is Hiring a Remote Purchasing Manager

Overview

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join our team on an upcoming project. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The Purchasing Manager will provide overall leadership to identify and develop needs and requirements for equipment, materials, products, and acceptable substitutions.
  • Candidate must be able to work independently as well as part of a team of contract professionals supporting proposal preparation and a portfolio of contracts.
  • Provide the oversight and evaluation of major contracts (both direct to the USG and subcontractors), lead or assist in key negotiations, resolve performance issues, identify risks and associated mitigations, ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures as well as government and contract requirements.
  • Document price analysis techniques as defined in the FAR
  • Utilize knowledge of purchasing price thresholds including TINA
  • Ensure compliance with strategic procurement and US Government contracting requirements (FAR, DFAR, FAR15, etc.)
  • Assess current material availability; reasonably predicts future availability based on the market, delivery systems, and other variables.
  • Maintains supplier database, purchase records, and related documents.
  • Expected to build, refine, and implement processes that ensure continued compliance and effectiveness.
  • Acts as the company’s representative in negotiations with suppliers.
  • Regularly interact with cross functional support (ex: program management, contracts, project control, finance, business development and with customers as required).
  • Support internal/external audit activities as well as data request from internal / external customers.
  • International Federal Contracts Government/DoD purchasing management involving contracts with large amounts of Other Direct Costs (ODCs), particularly IT hardware) experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree - Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • 7 to 9 year’s experience in a purchasing manager role, supporting government clients required.
  • Secret clearance preferred.
  • Expert knowledge within government and international contracts arena with particular emphasis on supporting Defense Department contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, including experience negotiating complex terms and conditions and managing vendors.
  • Must have experience managing multiple vendors.
  • Must have experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), preferably Combatant Commands(specific USSOCOM experience desired) with all contract types and a deep degree of knowledge of FAR/DFAR
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Must have the interpersonal skills to deal effectively with executive management and staff regarding purchasing issues with high degrees of complexity and work issues to resolution, including experience in presenting and briefing senior leadership.
  • Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) Certificate, and/or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or graduate degree, a plus.
