Duties of the Clinical Assessor/Clinical Assistant include:

We are currently seeking a Clinical Assessor/Clinical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative supervision to a superior team of case managers who provide community-based services. Position includes completing clinical assessments, service plans, providing clinical oversight to staff providing mental health services and crisis stabilization, conducting treatment team meetings, providing individual clinical supervision, ensuring documentation meets regulations through reviewing weekly documentation and chart audits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assessments to determine needs and develop treatment plans

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations

· Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as behavioral therapy, psychotherapy, and applied behavior analysis

· Coordinate the development and timely submission of Individualized Service Plans and all other required program documentation

· Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care for clients

· Assist in crisis intervention and provide appropriate referrals when necessary

· Provide crisis stabilization services to adults, adolescents and children who are at imminent risk of hospitalization of out of home placement. Crisis stabilization services are provided on a short-term basis as determined at the time of the assessment not to exceed 5 days a time and typically occur from 8-10 hours per day.

· In addition to direct client care, treatment teams are responsible for coordinating services according to clients’ treatment plans, facilitating therapeutic group activities, engaging families in crisis intervention and stabilization services to provide complete wrap-around services, and facilitating admissions and discharges from the program.

· Maintain and ensure compliance with DBHDS and Medicaid standard

· Meet with treatment team weekly to staff and assign/reassign cases

· Perform chart audits as needed to ensure compliance with all Medicaid and DBHDS Standards and Ensure all Serious Incident Reports are completed in a timely manner.

Required Credentials:

Qualified candidates must be either a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or resident, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or resident , Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and have an active license in the state of Virginia. Residents in Counseling and Supervisees in Social Work will be considered if they are preparing to take their exam within 6 months.
