This is a Direct Hire Position
Hours : 8 : 00am-5pm; Monday Friday
Pay : $20.00per hour!!
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our team. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for creating Bill of Lading (BOL) documents, obtaining freight quotes, and entering all shipping data into our ERP system.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our shipping department.
JOB SUMMARY :
- Create accurate and complete Bill of Lading (BOL) documents for all outgoing shipments.
- Obtain and compare freight quotes from various carriers to ensure the most cost-effective shipping options.
- Enter all shipping data, including BOL information, tracking numbers, and other relevant details, into the ERP system.
- Ensure that all shipping documentation and records are properly maintained and organized.
- Communicate with customer service department regarding shipping details, tracking information, and any potential delays or issues.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and warehouse, to ensure smooth order fulfillment and timely shipment.
- Assist in resolving any shipping-related discrepancies or complaints.
- Follow established shipping procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Proficient in using ERP systems and other shipping software.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of shipping procedures, regulations, and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to lift and move packages, if required.
