Dean’s Professional Services is now hiring a qualified, patient-care-focused Patient Access Representative to work for a large hospital in SW Houston, TX.

The Patient Access Representative is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling patient appointments, managing lobby, communicating with office staff, ensuring medical necessity compliance, verifying eligibility, and collecting/posting payments. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Schedules patient appointments and enters required information in the computer system in an accurate and timely manner
• Obtains demographic, insurance, and financial information from patient or guarantor
• Enters information in computer systems with a high degree of accuracy
• Explains all required forms to the patient or guarantor and obtains the necessary signatures
• Ensures medical necessity compliance by obtaining necessary data, reviewing the Compliance System, communicating information to patient or guarantor, and obtaining necessary signatures.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Required
• Must have a minimum of 2 years RECENT patient access representative experience (scheduling patient appointments, verifying insurance eligibility and insurance verification).

Job Details:

• Schedule: M-F 8:00 am – 5:00 pm 
• Starting at $16/hr. (based on experience) benefits.
• Full benefits – healthcare, dental, vision, 401k program.
