Job Description

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is looking for a candidate to provide expert guidance to users on efficient and effective approaches to utilizing inventory and purchasing modules in Sage Software. The employee will be the company inventory specialist and drive value by identifying, recommending, and utilizing existing inventory over purchasing new inventory. This person will also be responsible for executing the company’s inventory procedure and timeline for monthly, quarterly, and year-end physical inventories. They will also produce all monthly reports for physical inventory for distribution to upper management.

Job Description

  • Supervise, oversee, and plan all activities related to inventory control in the organization.
  • Support all regional and branch offices with inbound and outbound orders.
  • Support Office Managers, General Managers and Project Managers with monthly, quarterly, and year-end physical inventories.
  • Assist with researching and resolving inventory variances and discrepancies.
  • Assist with receiving and updating purchase orders based on delivery tickets.
  • Identify inventory to transfer, slow moving and obsolete products. 
  • Provide monthly inventory reporting.
  • Maintain inventory count integrity.
  • Provide necessary documentation for year-end inventory audits.
  • Provide leadership and a support role for the development of Sage purchasing and inventory software.
  • Update and distribute the company’s physical inventory process, documentation, and schedule. 

Qualifications

Experience

  • 3-5 Years proven knowledge of inventory and purchasing.
  • Functional, analytical trouble shooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Inventory and audit reporting experience.
  • Inventory researching and discrepancy resolution.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends.
