Employment Type: Full time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: Saint Francis Healthcare is seeking experienced Full-time Pharmacy Technicians to join our team! Schedule: Full-time rotating shift (Days/Evenings) Week 1: 6:45 a - 3:15 p Week 2: 9 a - 5:30 p Week 3: 12 p - 8:30 p The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting the Pharmacist in aseptically preparing medications and I.V. therapies, and distributing medications to the patient care areas, performing nursing and pharmacy unit inspections, maintaining stock levels in all areas of the hospital or clinics. Responsibilities include: Provides accurate medication preparation for patients including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric population. Demonstrates accurate medication bin filling. Proficient in mathematical calculations when preparing I.V. admixtures. Performs all stocking functions. Deliver medications to appropriate patient's room as ordered. Process discharges, transfers, admissions, and credits medication appropriately to the patient. Performs monthly nursing station inspections according to department policy. Demonstrates knowledge of care and use of all department equipment, i.e. antibiotic syringe pump machine, I.V. and HA horizontal laminar air flow hoods Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma Current National Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or other DE Board of Pharmacy approved certification is required at time of hire. Strong mathematical skills and basic computer skills. Experience in hospital pharmacy practice preferred.
